I currently have an agency power crank pulley in my tC, and i just upgraded my amps (not yet installed) but I was told by a friend who was told by her audio guy that cars with Lightweight pullys cannot handle the demand of higher ended audio systems, and if i start to see lag, keep an eye on it!....Does anyone know if this info. is acurate

and here are the amps i just purchased

That is accurate, unless you're not changing out the alternator pulley. Then it shouldn't be too much of an issue. You could try using a cap to compensate.

If you are concerned about it, you can get an alternator overdrive pulley to compensate for it. I have an underdrive crank pulley, standard diameter water pump lightweight pulley, and an overdrive alternator pulley to keep that spinning at the stock speed. I haven't had any issues with my system. Mike at NST (www.NonStopTuning.com) should be able to hook you up if you want one of his pulleys.

like Tony said I would get an overdrive pulley for the alt. A cap will not help the situation. Honestly with the amps that you are running you shouldn't have a problem anyways. Your voltage may drop at idle and at night but other then that you should be fine.
