I found on a forum a long time ago info about the lag with the whole drive by wire thing scion decided to go by. One of the posts had a link to a site to get some sort of cable or something to help with the delay. After my car gets done being painted i wanna get that fixed so i can drive without sounding like I'm a first time 5spd driver.
Thanks!
links or more info on this is much appreciated! :)

If my source is correct you shouldn't have this issue. Drive by wire wasn't added to the 2az until 07.

I def have a lag issue, everyone that drove it agreed. I didn't have this problem when I bought it. It just happened gradually over like a month or 2. My clutch isn't slipping cause its fairly new and only has about 7000 miles on it any other ideas as to what it may be?

What mods are done to it now? I'll double check about the drive by wire. I've never felt that there's a lag in mine.

Actually, all tCs have DBW. My 05 had it. I remember seeing a box that was supposed to help the issue, but in reality, the delay is only a few milliseconds. I raced my car in competition and never had a problem with throttle lag.

All had them. Correct.

Well my scion has a lag of what seems close to half second...ish. And for those of you who only drove a manual which was dbw pls dont comment saying theres no lag, you need to drive a car which is cable driven then jump in a scion and you will notice the lag. so does anyone know of a solution to this? would a aftermarket throttle control clean this up? or is there a simple solution such as a better ground wire or adjustment that can be made to the system. thanks.
