does the trim ring come off

i need 2 know if the trim ring around the automatic shifter comes off would like to paint it too match the rest of my trim but im afarid it will break if i try it help

yes it does i just pried it off if i remember right i got a led one

yea you just open the part where you manualy unlock the shifter and pry from the inside....or else you'll mess up the outside ( found out the hard way!!)
