Why are there no pictures posted from this show? And why does judging matter? We should be there mainly to hang out as a group, check out the other cool cars and have a good time, ya?

Cause if a group is going to hold a JUDGED competition then it needs to be ran A WHOLE LOT better than asking a few participants, "HEY, can YOU help JUDGE?" and not even judge a certain class.. but , "you and you take this row.. you and you... take that one."

Both Medford Cruise and the GP show were by no means judged properly. I don't pay good money to have my car glanced at by a judge.. if they JUDGE a car then EVERY car needs to get the same amount of time, the same questions asked, and the same due diligence. Kirby and myself helped out at the GP show with Judging.. We made it a point to do just that. and were complimented on it.

Don't get me all wrong. it is about having fun and checking out other cool rides, which was done... but the Unspoken reason WHY WE ALL do shows, is to get trophies. none of you can deny that... I have fun at every show I go to.. no matter if I win or not. Yes I do get pissed when a stock ride beats my modified ride, or a toyota mini truck enters the "TUNER" class and WINS 1ST PLACE.... or the judge doesn't give mien the same amount of time as another.. that is what pisses me off.
I've worked my arse off on my ride and continue not to place. I have modified the crap out of my xB, and tastefully too. no gawdy mural on the hood, flashy chrome everywhere.......

it's not ALL about the winning, but damnit.... I wanna win sometime...

Hey Jesse. My wife & I met you at the G.P. show, I have the 06 XA, (Sala Red), and picked up some info from you. We rode our Harley to the show, maybe you remember us? You ALL deserve some recognition, and I for one, was glad to see Scion represented like you did! Keep in touch man, maybe we can see you all again sometime! Gary & Doreen from Grants Pass.

All this being said - at these shows they DO ask if anyone wants to volunteer to judge. Get off your butt and help them out - give them your two cents on how YOU think the judging should go. You know, I know, each person in our chapter knows the work each one of us puts into our rides. While someone that spends an entire weekend installing 3 or 4 mods puts in the same amount of labor as someone that does 1 mod over the same weekend. Does it mean that the one with 3 mods; his ride would be 'better' - or should be judged higher at a show?

Anyhoo - if you continue to beat yourself up because you didn't place at a show it will just lower your spirits and may lead to NOT attending more shows that you would normally go to. THAT'S why i've come to the fact that I LOVE going to these shows to SHOW my clean 'cool' car and hang out with friends. If I place, then it's an extra 'bonus' - but I refuse to go to a show HOPING to get a trophies. We ALL take pride in our cars, and it shows when they're all lined up lookin' purdy :) If I can go to a car show with my Scikotic peeps - have a good fun day, talk car stuff, grill burgers and dogs, sit in the sun, listen to good tunes, crack jokes - then the day is a fucking WIN for me.

the participants should NOT have to be asked to help judge. The group hosting said show should have judges already in place. Kirby and I did help judge though.
The Medford cruise was not judge properly at all.. the guy doing the import class was texting while a participant was telling him about his car. INSTEAD OF PAING ATTENTION.... WTF is that.. others didn't even get a full walk around. just an ........ eh,..... and moved on.. I really hope Cory's group has nothing to do with that show next year. Cory was upset himself.

I DO have lots of fun at every show I go to. I truly enjoy all the different vehicles and most of the people there.. Jan, Kirby and I were talking about forming a Southern Oregon car show judging group. train people on HOW TO JUDGE A SHOW... then that group will go around and judge all the car shows in the area.. we were just talking about it though. doubt that will happen. All I ask is get someone taht knows their shit.... not an ignorant hillbilly that thinks a 1984 beat to shit Chevy truck is show quality..

Ok, enough all ready. Yes, we know the judging this year has sucked ASS so far but what can you do. We do these shows for the fun of it. Buddy is right on that. We are there to hang with our Bro's, eat, drink and be fuckin merry. Every show we go to will ALLWAYS be judged a little differently. We can not do any thing about it, thats just how it is. If you wanna try to put together a big group and try to convince every Tom, Dick and harry that puts on a show to use your dudes to judge it, then go ahead. I myself would be delighted to see you acomplish that task. Anyways.........Lets just try to make it fun.
