My g/f has an 05 scion xB with almost 100k miles on it. When she got in it this morning and started backing out of the driveway, 3 lights came on.
Check Engine
Traction Control
Vehicle Stability Control
Does anyone have any idea what would have caused this? Or how to fix it?
The last time she drove the car was Thursday and it was just a couple of blocks to the store and back.
We had also changed the front breaks Wednesday night but she went to work and the store Thursday with no problems. She didn't drive it again until today (Monday).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The three stooges lights could be from numerous things:

1. Any intake installed? If so, check the hoses and screws make sure it connected tight. After checking reset the ECU by taking the negative battery cable off.

2. Could be a loose or bad senser? Tighten and recheck.

3. Could be a EVAP system leak? Tighten the gas cap, if bad buy a new one. This could take the ECU couple trips to reset or reset manually.
Check with dealer could be still under emission warranty.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. I was going to mess with the gas lid and unplug the battery when I get home tonight. she does have an intake on there. What sensor do I need to check ?

the Mass Air Flow sensor and possibly your factory O2 sensors might have some carbon buildup on them and caused the ECU to trip the lights.

I had the 3 idiot lights come on too about 3 days ago... I was running a locking gas cap... big mistake... removed that put the stock back on. removed the MAF cleaned it with some contact cleaner reinstalled it. hooked the battery back up...they went away
