Long story short...

Got into car accident on rear passenger side. Crushed pretty good. 6k in damage.
Dealership didn't do that good of a job. Rear pass. wheel looks sunken in about .5 inches. Drives fine though.
Bought KYB gr2's, and Vogtland springs. I know GR2's are OEM replacement(s) so don't bother mentioning it. Also bear in mind that I'm not wanting to deal with a harsh ride since the roads here suck.
I only have hand tools, not power ones.
Now for my problem...

I got a spring compressor from advance auto parts.
The front went on super easy.
The backs were a bitch. Let the problem begin...

How in the hell are you supposed to compress the spring enough to put that black rubber piece + washer on their. I compressed the damn compressor as far as 250 ft-lbs would let me. No go. ... Since this car is my dd and I already had the front ones on (and tire shops are closed here on Sundays) I had to put the rears on w/o the black rubber and washer. I know thats bad for the setup and I plan to fix as soon as finals are over...my main question is this.

How do you compress them enough to get ALL the pieces on there? Is is even possible with hand tools?
How is the ride supposed to be? (This is my first lowered car.) Right now the ride is for the most part just as predictable as before. However, since I don't have the rubber and washer on the backs when I hit bumps, the rear of the car feels like it wants to step out on me. (is this because I'm lowered on stock, or because of the missing pieces, or a need for an alignment)?
My initial impression of this setup? 2/5 at least until I have fixed the issues at hand, and the springs settle.
*The ride quality is perfect on smooth roads.
