Grounding kits work, as long as you ground everything correctly.

I just installed a do-it-yourself grounding kit and it really helped my idle. My idle was moving back and forth from 700 down to 550 before and now it is much more stable it still moves a little but nothing like before. My amp is also grounded much better than before, it always had a little distortion when I turned it up and the ground kit improved the sound quality a bit. I got this link from SL forum, it really is a great install guide with parts list, directions and photos of the installation. There are quite a few kits ready made out there such as groundfusion that are nice and ready to go right out of the box.
Good Luck! tahoesnowman

yes, aviod the static... it helped the idle and it seems to shift smoother (automatic) but no real hp gains, i did it for the idle cuz for some reason when it put the intake on it ran rough when its in gear and when your at a stop now its ok.....a mystery to me
