what is the piece called to hold your door open????

I always see them at car shows and can't find the person that owns the car!
It is the cord that runs from the door catcher to the inside piece of the door.
looks like a bungee cord but has phelt on it.... sorry its hard to explain....
anybody have any ideas what ts called????

ive seen different things some are "door rods" just a straight round piece of metal and ive seen others that ppl made that were of different materials rope, plastic pieces...

I call mine door rods. I made mine out of 1/4" CR Steel round that I bent on both ends. I then had them powder coated. You can buy them at customxbgauges.com, but making them is so much more fun!

Its easy to make. just basically get a exact measurement from to points to where you want to put it on and get the exact cut of chain or rope. Whichever than decorate it up to your suit. I was goin to do it a some time just haven't gotten the time to do so.
