Hey, there's a show at Chandler Park to benefit the Tulsa parks and recreations dept this Sat. It's put on by a friend of mine that runs the local Pontiac club.
I'm going and I think Jeremy is, if anybody else wants to go it might be fun, especially if you are already in town for the party.........lol.
Anyway, registration is form 9-12, but judging starts at 12. Trophies are at 3 and there is also a craft fair.
Registration fee is $15

I agree, but I think Jeremy was wanting to get them powder coated green or black. He was also wanting to drive on the new wheels a little more for him to decide whether or not he wanted to lower it. I say, if the car's going to look pretty, who cares if it's a bumpy ride?
If I can talk him into it, Friday would be an awesome night to install them since I get off work early that day. I'll have him give you a call when he gets off work.

for what it's worth, i drove around on stock springs with my 18" wheels and 35 series tires for a long time (like Jeremy, i was afraid of having to wear a kidney belt after i lowered it.) i finally lowered my car last weekend and i can't tell a difference in ride at all.
let's lower it.
FrankenScion
10-12-2006, 06:22 PM
You HAVE to lower it after putting wheels on....lol. Otherwise you will look like a 4x4.....lol.

PAINT WHAT !!!

He bought my old Strup that had a rusty tip, I thought it would be cool to paint it with charcoal grill paint. Then you would never have to clean it! I did find some stuff in my garage that might get the rust off though, lets try that first.
Maybe someone should start a new thread for this?.........lol.

This was a fun show! It was a beautiful day. Thanks to you all that came -- it's always fun hanging out.
We had 5 xBs and my Z. We were the only imports. There were about 100 muscle cars and old classics -- very nice ones.
There were no classes -- just the top 25 -- Jon and I both placed.

yeah,
it was a lot of fun!! at a show that was nothing but American street rods and muscle cars, i was surprised and pleased by how much general interest we drew. had a lot of people stop to ask questions about Scions. like i told my wife, of the more than 100 cars there, ours were the only ones that someone can still go to their local dealer and buy.
