fujita cai. resetting the ecu

i was reading up on the net and it says for "max performance" you need to reset your ecu so it can "learn" your cai. but doesnt that oxygen sensor do that?

i know nothing about cars:)

Your intake will need to be recognized by the car's computer, so disconnecting the battery for a bit, reconnecting it to allow the computer to recognize the intake will ensure you get the most out of that setup.

Your O2 sensors do not do that, your mass air flow sensor [MAF] does that reading for the computer.

Our computers also readjust and relearn over a period of time. :-)

so, im curious, should one reset the ecu on a regular basis because it relearns over time?
