I did some searching but didn't see anything other than baking in an oven and prying apart while still hot. Is this the only way to remove the orange reflector from the stock headlight housing?

I've seen a few lately with the clean white look & like it.

Hammer and screwdriver method also works.

Yes you can maul your headlight with a hammer and a screwdriver but baking them is your best bet. Just remember when you seal it back up... make a good seal!!!

Maul them? It takes one hit and the orange reflector breaks into pieces. You have obviously never used this method to clear xB heads. If you have and your heads looked "mauled" then your doing it wrong and fail at life. lol

Hammer and flathead method works fine as long as u use some common sense. ive currently done 8 sets without a scratch. and if worse comes to worse, a few little scratches inside ur headlight is better than a fucked up seal that turns them into fish bowls bawwwhahhahah. make sure youve got some angled needle nose pliers handy to

Thanks, that's exactly what I was looking for last night. And when I first heard hammer n screwdriver, I envisioned using them to crack open the whole housing. Duh.:5eek:

Lol, your not the first one to assume that. I actually witnessed that very scenario play out at a mod day. Some people shouldnt be left to work by themselves lol
