I need it to be seperate amp and sub. But I like the basslink I think Jorge (scionara tC) has one sounds sweet.

ken, first before you put a system together you need to know what you are looking for, SQ, SPL or SQL.. Then once you have made those choices then go from there. Some companies make good SPL subs, some make good SQ subs, etc. So first think on what you want, you want hard bass (yes it can be accomplish cheap) or do you want loudness.
Once you have gone over that bridge, then the brand and pricing would make the rest of the decision...
after that, then there is going to be box building to specs.. if you dont want to deal with any of that, go to Circuit City, pick up a 10" match the RMS to a amp, get a lil qlogic box, then be on your way.
If you want my .02.. i had a 10" sony xplod and a Sony Amp in my CRX that pounded the fuck out that lil car.

With cody's help we just built a custom box with a cubic foot dimension (plus or minus 2 inches heheh)
I want this when I put in DMX's new album that it's hard and not sooo much clean. I hope I am explaing myself

then the power acoustic would be your choice, they require about a cubic foot to be to specs.. so next up would be the amp.. find out if the sub you going to get would run on SVC or DVC... Now on the SVC lets say @ 2ohms would be 250rms, then find an amp to match those specs, or DVC @ 4ohms would be 400rms, this are just examples.. just to let you know what you want to match up with the amp.

I got a simple setup - 2x Volfenhag SX-4710 10" 800W Subs (DVC) and a Volfenhag ZX-7180 1600W Amplifier (it says 2000W on the amp itself for some odd reason). Cost me $400 and hits GREAT!

You might give this one a try, doubt you've heard of them but its a good company and product.....and a great deal!!! It meets all your requirements but you'll get the most out of it if you build a 1cu ft box(net). Better hurry....they're on sale.

If you wanna be different then this is your sub, you won't have what everyone else around here has.

1 cube for a 10, you can stop looking at our stuff :)
our 10" subs = 11Ov.2/11Kv.2, but they both use 1/2 a cubic foot. If you could stick 2 in, yeah, go for it, but no...not with that box.

i picked up a kicker 10 (the round one crv) @ c. city in a little box about a cubic foot for 120 buck i had an amp kicker zr 120 it sounds great.. but you can find many differrent set -ups for cheap that sound great those p. acoustics pound youl love em, or the kicker squares i used to have em in my p-up they are sick but you need a huge 1 ohm stable amp to pump em, proper.

Don't Screw around, just get the diamonds. 1 cube will do them good. I think a 10 is around 150. I have two of them, and they speak for themselves.
