Car Show Tulsa OK Oct. 7th

Sup Yall,

I came across a car show and block party at the Red Fork Baptist Church this Saturday Oct. 7th. Just letting everyone know. The address is 2821 w 40th st. (sw Tulsa). It will be from 8am to 2pm. Free Food,Fun & Games,Entertainment,and a Clothing Giveaway(can't tell i'm reading from the flyer huh?..lol). There is also a drawing for a new set of tires. So if ya aren't busy stop by and represent Scikotics.

Around here alot of church's have car shows. Not like they are going to come throw a bible on your car. I'm thinking bout going just to go to a car show. Maybe alot of people are thinking like you and won't show so better chance at winning a trophy lol. If it's lame ya bounce..it's that simple.

Alot of churchs in the area have shows to raise money for various charities, NONE of them require you to stay for a surmon..so.. please keep your MINDLESS comments off the board...we all reserve the right to think as we will but...this I willl not tolerate this out of the of the Tulsa chapter, If you wish to discus this futher see me IN PERSON at anytime, we are a club that will support any and all cars shows, if you choose not to partispate then dont, just keep your personal feelings to yourself.

If this offends anyone in anyway then maybe I got my point across, I am a VERY easy going person but this kind of stuff I will not tolerate !!! You can say a show was bad, you can say you didnt have fun and wont go back, this I would understand from anyone, but a MINDLESS bashing of anything that you have not experienced ranks right up there with racial profiling..NOT IN MY CHAPTER !!!

This maybe a strong stand but this is what I believe, you dont have to like it, you dont have to agree, but you will adhere to it !!

This maybe deleted, this may piss a few people off..so be it !!! This really struck a wrong note with me and I maybe taking it the wrong way and if I am then I apologise for what has been written here tonight..but my point will not be taken lightly I have a no tolerance policy for crap like this and I will meet it head on.

As I have said before...I'm done with the soapbox...and I'm taking it home with me !!!!

First of all, Brad, you are absolutely right and therefore I have edited and appologized for my comments. They were very poorly thought out and a demonstration of a particular bias of mine and certainly didn't belong in the thread.

That being said, I DO hope you will take such offense when "racial profiling" DOES show up on the board as it has been. It would also be appreciated if you post similar condemnations when members reffer to something that is lame or stupid as "gay". That is very offensive and, as you said, ranks right up there with racial profiling.

Please don't think I am trying to justify my comments. They were wrong and you called me on it. I am simply requesting that you take such a strong stance on ALL offensive and judgemental posts and not just the ones that "strike a wrong note" with you.

I called the church...8am is the time you show to register and there isn't an entry fee.
I don't care where we meet...I've only been in Tulsa 6mo so not too familiar with the area..any suggestions? Maybe we could meet earlier at a car wash? I'm an early bird so don't matter to me.

it's looking really doubtful that i'm going to make this show. :( my wife's working late tonight so i've got both kids so there's no way i'll get anything done on the car and have too much to do to get it done in the morning. if i get the chance, i'll cruise out to the show as a spectator. good luck to both of you.
