Personally, I don't like it. IMO, it looks like you had a strip of brown/bronze vinyl laying around and just decided to stick it on your car.

i think the idea is right but it's a bit understated.

i think it would look better if it started narrow and widened as it goes up.

i hope you don't mind but i doctored one of your pics help illustrate what i'm thinking...

i used a crappy paint program so it's just a representation but i think you can get the idea.
