I've gotten readdicted to modding my Automatic xD. Know a guy who can build U series auto transmitions. Says he can build to theoretically hold 500bhp.
This seems like a waste of time if i the 2ZR won't hold boost and there is no turbo kit in production. I really dont wanna fab anything or frank a turbo kit. Is there a better base engine that bolts up to the UB301E found in our xD's. Maybe an auto Celica engine with a turbo kit already in production. Maybe a full engine and trans swap. Any help is apreceated.:wallb:

This is probably a stupid response but we share the same engine as a Corolla so check to see if they make any turbo parts for it, or possibly check the Yaris, I know some parts are interchangeable. Not great information but its a start right? GL

We share an engine with the Corolla and Non-Xr Matrix. The basic problem is that there is no turbo manifold in mass producton. Also, I'm just not sure so engine would even hold boost. I'm wondering if the block from the GT-S, Exige, XRS would be applicable.

If your planing to keep the car then yea 2zz engine will drop in just fine to the xd. Much more to be done if more power is gonna be on your agenda tho.

I'm just thinking that our engine bay is like SMALL :/ i was thinking of doing the same, but im just all out show now :D

The engine bay is on the small side but you can still frop the engine. Easiest route is going custom turbo kit. The most expensive part it can get wld be getn the piggyback nd tuning. If you want greater power. You can settle for a 1zz motor from monkey wrench racing. Have it pre built and with a gt30 turbo. Prolly look around 300hp ifnot 350hp. That be crazy for the xd. My 2 cents.

Oh ii forgot.. dammit! Haha. But yea ii say 200hp wld be tops for the auto. Which is pretty good for a light weight car. The 2zr fe can handle it

Will the tranny match up to the 2zz. If so i could just swap and get a bolt up supercharger.

Our trans won't bolt onto the 2zz. Slight chance the 1zz could nd try ur luck on finding a used trd supercharger. I was considering the same thing. Would be epic. I would want a strocked 2zz with a supercharger. I would be soo happy lol

Here's another thought. Are 1nz and 2zr intake manifolds swapable?

Nope sorry. I forgot which manifold can be retrofitted with some light alterations. Prolly best route would weld a log style manifold

If there is any manifold that direct fits i could screw s/c it.

Anyone know what ex manifold the turbo Transformer D over in Peurto Rico was running before he blew up. I'm really open to ideas here.

Think his was also a log style

Another thought. The Celica G6 GT-S is 1 " wider in the body. Front track for celica is 1.1" wider. If a wheel offset would allow the car to turn properly, it seems like i could pick up a whole Doner Celica, rear end damaged, for nearly pocket lint. This would give me around 180bhp
and a clean oem swap. Oh, and i could build and turbo for another 4g's or so. Anybody think this is plausable???
Celica Front track:59.6
xD front track: 58.5
It makes me think I could go as far as swapping to a six speed, with ALOT of fab.
