going from 2008 xb to xd. should i?

ok i love my 2008 scion xB but my bf has an XD. he gets way better gas milage and he really doenst lack much of the torque that i have with my larger engine. though my xb hauls ass and pushes you back. his xd is satisfing aswell.

i would be coming from 270 a month to 240 a month and not to mention the gas i will be saving
also if i trade in my XB i will get 700 bux to put twards XD on top of 500$ refund for my extended warrenty that is being put down on the lease.

so i'd be able to do the upgraded sound system and lowering springs for trading in my stock xb with no added goodies....

though i am still afraid. and i dont know why! oh why! some one bring me to my sences!

Get the new lava if you do it!!! But you will still lose on the trade!!! If you make it up in gas over the life of the car it would be worth it.

Ehh, stick with your xB. Yeah, your not will go down a whole $30 a month, but you're adding another year to it.
Plus, like Cheryl said, you will be losing money on your trade as well, not counting what you've already done to it.
So that's the question you need to ask yourself, is all the money you spent already going to justify $30 a month?
Plus, everyfreakingbody is getting an xD right now, that's the main reason I'm glad I didn't wait for them to come out and got my xB2 instead. There's only 3 xB2's in the Louisiana chapter after a year of them being out, and there's already 4 xD's in here after them just coming out! Only 1 being a new member, the other 3 traded their previous rides in.

BUT, this is just our opinions, it's up to you now. Besides, if you really like his that much, keep your B and just steal his D every now and then. :up:

I'm biased because I own an xD. :) I think they look sleeker than the '08 xB so I say go for it! :up:

As tempting as it is to say "do it", I would keep the xB2 and just get your bf to let you use the xD sometimes.
You get the best of both worlds that way!

i guess i didnt elaborate on my situation. i struggle every month with money. i am a delivery driver for pizza hut aswell. they pay 1.25 for each run and i barly break even. my bf also works at pizza hut and the money they give him for gas pays off and he actualy can pocket some of that money.

so barrowing his doesnt really work. he works all day and the days i have off i have to drive my xb. and its usualy 1/4 tank a day which is 10$ a day. OUCH

and no i actualy only lost 2k. and most of that was APR i paid on. and i am able to pocket 700$ if i do this. and even add goodies if i want with that 700$.

all i am loosing is the space and the extra HP

Well, as stated, the decision is completely up to you. A couple of us gave our opinions, but that's all we can do.
But, here's another suggestion and not trying to be an asshole about it, find another job that you will actually make money on and not just break out even.

ya thats a thought but i have been there 2.5 years now and i cut back to only working 2 days a week there andd i work for a sushi place that has their own cars for delivery. bookoo bux but. i still strugle.

i think i am going to do it. i think i can part with my B. i have nothing to loose and a upgraded sterio to gain!

I would definitely say stay with the xB... Maybe just because I own one and think they're great, but over all they're obviously great vehicles.. Better gas mileage though is definitely a plus..

well like i said due to the trade in i haave 700$ i can put to accessories. but i doubt i'll do anything aftermarket. expecialy rims and tires. to expencive for me.

hah and my stealership guy will also give me a navi free, ive sent over 3 people to him in the last 12 months. he aint pulling anything. and my pay off was 75 months last year. and will only be 60 months so i am actualy dropping 3 months in all reality...

4 days. it left port today. what ever that means.

shane, the scion guy at this toyota place. said he already has a deposit down on this xd, but the chick pissed him off by going on a test drive with another salesman after shane already did all the foot work. so he is looking for any excuse to sell it to me, threw my sales guy Victor(complicated). i told them i'm 100%. when its in they're going to call me in. its me or her..... and she's not looking like she's going to be getting it hehehehe.

heh kinda wierd having 2 salesmen working for you. the scion guy and the top new car sales man of november 2007 HAH. na... but i get all my cars from victor. never stears me wrong! or any one else i send him :)

did ya'll know that toyota has a refurral program? toyota sent me 100$ for sending my boss over to them. each person is an increase of 25$. next time is 125. hellz ya!

Besides, the xD is WAY cooler looking than the xB2!!!!! I wouldn't have even had to ask that question, I would have done it in a heartbeat!!!
