Scikotics Ward @ Carlisle May 14th & 15th, 2011

Hey everyone here's the write up (finally) after my meeting with Patrick from Carlisle Events

First off I want to say that Patrick is an awesome guy and really wants to turn this into a huge Scion event every year in correlation with the Performance and Style Show. He was at Scion Exposed and was blown away by Scikotics and (in his words) "Scikotics just gets it"
So to start off we are getting a pavilion with about 20 spots for cars to be under cover and its right next to the Scion only section of the fairgrounds so we won't be far from each other. He also said we have free reign to do what we want inside the pavilion (have music, display tables, etc.)

As opposed to years past if you are registered to show your car you are free to come and go as they please throughout the weekend. Meaning your car is not locked into the fairgrounds for the whole weekend. Also another new thing is if you register your car they will mail you all the credentials for the whole weekend so you don't need to stop and register at the gate (this becomes key in a later point I'm going to make ;) )

Here is where pre-registering and getting the credentials ahead of time becomes key: A group roll-in is being coordinated from a local Scion dealership to the show early on Saturday to show the Carlisle crowd that Scikotics are coming and coming hard! Patrick and I are in contact with this dealership and starting to work out the details. Details on the roll-in and how to participate will be posted soon.

Patrick is in the process of going through the proper channels to be able to get banners made up with our logo and name and he's also getting Flags made to be flown at the pavilion to draw more attention.

This is the real deal guys. Patrick is hardcore about Scikotics making a major presence known at this show and I think this could really turn into something really big for the Northeast chapters.

I know i'm not welcome in your group as far as that goes. I've been a member of your boards since last June though. And Scikotics chapters have been extremely welcoming of me in my travels (which is all up and down the east coast). There isn't a chapter for either group in my area anyway

Nobody ever said that. I just don't want to interfere is all. NRG recruited me long before i even started thinking about modifying my car lol. Pittsburgh has a very small Scion scene to begin with. and most are Evolution members lol. Most people just drive them here.. not many care about being a part of a family

YES! her hair would weave into the stock fabric.. now it can just be brushed off.. they are fantastic. Mine are full pvc due to the durability since i take her everywhere

I've been talking with Steve Hatanaka from Scion corporate but not the regional rep. Steve has been doing what he can but wasn't able to commit to anything other than that the 2011 Scion tC that won the SEMA build-off will be at the show, in the Tuned in T invitational building. If you haven't seen this car yet.....IT'S SICK!!!!!!!

It's $40 non-judged and $50 for judged (exclusive Scion showfields for both). Just be sure to get registered TODAY or the price will go up $10 and you won't have your credentials mailed to you.

We have a pretty cool kids @ carlisle activity center (VW Bug chalk board car, bounce house, etc.) that typically keeps the kids busy for a few hours!

Ok Here's the low down everyone sorry it took me so long

The dealership has not returned any calls or emails so we're going to meet at the Carlisle Expo Center:
100 K Street, Carlisle, Pennsylvania

Big Parking lot and nothing is going on there so we don't have to worry about not having room.
We are allowed to roll-in at 8am. I will be there at 7am to pick up mine and Tim's creds from the main gate.
***anyone who wants to come you can register that day at the main gate which is Gate 3 at the corner of K st. and Bryn Mawr Rd. 1000 Bryn Mawr Road, Carlisle, PA***

I was thinking that if we all want to roll in together at 8am we'd meet at 7:30. I know that's really early for ppl coming from afar so if anyone has any objections please let me know.

Judging begins at 10am but since we are towards the back of the fairgrounds I highly doubt we'll be judged at 10am so we all should have plenty of prep time to get ready if you are being judged.
