i just got an email form the Admin of Dezod motorsports and they said they have nothing to offer for the XD due to the lack of demand. the email read this...

"We've received all of about 3 requests in the past 2 years for xD parts. With minimal demand, I can not offer any parts at this time."

i sent them an email inquiring about a midpipe for the XD, and i asked what they need from us as a community to produce such a product and the response is displayed right up above. listen, we all have axlebacks, wouldnt it be nice to connect that axleback to another shiny piece of big pipe :) without having to go thru custom work? please send them emails state what you want so we can see something come thru. we cant complain and not do anything about it :blink2:

Just spoke to the admin again, they have no problem making any product for the XD, we as a community have to speak up and tell them what we want, followed by commitment. they said depending on the product they need 10-50 people. I know some of you guys really would like a full exhaust system or even some of the components to make your own exhaust ex.strup axleback, weapon r headers, dezod midpipe.

i think the biggest issue with these kinda deals is the price. did he foreshadow any kind of $$ range? and are we looking at a midpipe only, or more? just wanna know before giving commitments ;P

I think that's great. I know around here there are like 10 xD's that i see in 3 counties.. and 3 come to events and gets modded. Scion in general is lacking around here. I see more xA's on the road than xD's. Is it like that everywhere?

And yes.. price is a huge thing. Plus i'm not even much into performance (due to my trach i'm not even allowed on a trach so I don't bother with that end) What exactly would a midpipe do for an xD

A price wasnt established and it wont be established until people commit, its a double standard. A larger diameter midpipe would let air outta the engine faster, increasing hp and torque. adding headers and an axleback would just increase the numbers even more. IDK if it would just be the midpipe either, they are more than capable of designing and marketing a full exhaust, but my interest is strictly in the midpipe.

I got an email from the parts designer of DEZOD and he says they have no problem coming up with a midpipe for the car, he just needs 10-15 ppl to commit. no price or turn around time on anything but it doesnt seem like a bad idea. I think we gotta start small, asking a company to go straight to building a turbo is alittle unreasonable, we gotta start with simple parts to show the companies we have interest than hope they come out with better mods.

they also need an XD in the area for prototyping if anyone wants to commit to that as well

It seems like I'm the only one responding to my post but just to keep you guys updated, DEZOD seems to have interest, they would like to make the mid pipe for us, they need to know what material for piping we want, ex SS or ceramic, and if we want any v-bands or resonators. I'm thinking use stainless steel and just straight pipe nothing added.

Does anybody make a header for the xD? I would think that would be a necessary component. Good luck to you. It will be a very long time before i even think about messing with the motor

dc sports header to my knowledge isnt out yet, but i know for sure that weapon r's header is available. different designs too, dc sport=4-1 header for better top end power weapon r=4-2-1 header for all around gains throughout the powerband, ima buy weapon r's header its cheaper, better looking, and overall a better design.
