i recently cleaned out my engine bay, and i forgot that i took the rubber grommets off when i installed my HID's so moisture got into the headlamp. i ran the lights the moisture dried but now there seems so be a dusty layer on the inside to the lamp. is there anything i can do to fix this problem, that wont involve baking the lamp and opening it up lol

I have cleaned the inside of head light and tail light assemblies by pouring in a little bit of denatured alcohol and then sloshing it around and pouring it out. I also wrap a bit of soft cloth or micro fiber towel around a bamboo skewer or something like that and wiping the inside of the lens through bulb holes etc. Of course you need to take them off the car to do it, so it is a pain in the a%$, but easier than baking them apart.

Certainly easy and worth a try. If it has any "cling" though you might be SOL.

Maybe use some sort of narrow attachment with a shop vac and try to suck up some of the material inside the housing?

thats actually a really good idea, i have a shop vac with an extended narrow hose. i'll use the pressure air to blow out any dust then whatever is left i'll suck up with the vac

I would put some cheap foam weather stripping on the tip of the hose or attachment. Reason beaing is the attachment or house could scratch the lense then you would be more irratated with a scratched lense then with the dust. but other than that I would say give it a try.
