this just started today, i was driving and the vsc, abs, and traction control light came on, (i was driving straight and was not braking or doin anything crazy). it happened once this morning and a couple of times on the way home this afternoon. it has done this b4 but only when i tried to use the cruise( this is posted in anoter thread but i have yet to get under the dash and check the connection). also it was raining pretty good today if that would have anything to do with it. has anyone seen this.

check the vaccum lines between the intake and head, as well as the little vaccum line that runs from the intake to little silver box on the intake and back through the firewall

Mel's box has the same thing happening. they come on for a few days then doent happen for awhile. The dealership had replaced the main brian for the can along with some other things and still keeps occuring. they keep saying it has to do with her aftermarket mods which is bullshit, but no one can figure out why they keep coming on. I never notice any difference in the way the performs or handles so its probably something stupid

IT HAPPENS TO ME EVERYTIME I RUN THRU STANDING WATER. I THINK IT MIGHT BE A SENSOR THAT GETS WET. ME CAR ALSO STARTS TO MISFIRE. IVE HAVE TO CHANGE MY SPARK PLUGS EVERYTIME. I THOUGHT IT WAS ONLY MY CAR DOING THAT. THE DEALERSHIP CANT EVER FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT. THERE IS A TREAD ON CLUBXB THAT SHOWS YOU HOW TO REMOVE A FUSE FROM THE MOTOR FUSE BOX TO RESET YOUR LIGHTS. I DO IT TO MY BOX ALL THE TIME.

Mine does it every once in a while. I took it to the dealer, but they couldn't find any codes in the computer. It doesn't change the way it runs, so I don't even bother with worrying about it anymore. It usually does it after I put gas in or after driving for a long period of time. It has nothing to do with putting mods on the car either, mine did it when it was completely stock. When I did extended warranty work, I would sometimes see Toyotas that were having those lights come on, and the shop replaced the YAW sensor and it went away.

Be careful running through standing water, especially if you have to change the plugs every time, you could end up hydrolocking the motor.

been fightin this battle for about two months now. have the car scanned. my dealership replaced the crank sensor (didnt fix the problem), then replaced the computer (didnt fix it), reprogrammed the computer (didnt fix it), said it was my gas cap (didnt fix it), and today they finally said it was the vvti timing pulley which i had been telling them was the problem from the start. there is a tsb (technical service bulletin) out on the code P0012 which is the code i kept pulling but yet the dealer "never" got that code to come up. if it is that code it is covered under the 60000 mile warranty. hope this helps.

The only time I had this happen to my box was when I began modifying the steering column, the YAW sensor was my problem, I actually broke during my mods. Just one more thing to have them check if and when you go in ...

thanx for the tips, it hasnt done it one time today and it hasnt been raining so i think it may be related to something gettin wet. as long as it doesnt rain this weekend ill look everything over while im doin other mods.

Mine has only done it once. Back when I rewired my tails I ended up not having a good ground on the driver's side. Everything was fine the night I rewired them but then on the way home from work the next day all my lights came on. I couldn't figure it out to save my life. I didn't know that the D/S tail wasn't working until later that night when my wife mentioned it. After checking the bulbs and fuses I went to the wiring. I found the bad ground..fixed it...tail worked....dash lights went out. :dontknow:

I bought the totaled xB a while back and all those lights were on. VSC, ABS, blah blah. I found out the 2 front ABS speed sensor lines were cut. I replaced them and all the lights went off, and I haven't seen them since.

Maybe take those out and look at them (1 bolt holds them in to your caliper/rotor assembly), and see if they are wet.
