Im thinking about starting to make custom fluid tanks for the engine bay (tC for now but would consider other models as well) before i start i would like to see how many people are intrested and could send me an email ( hks240sx@hotmail.com ) and i would provide a rough ms paint lol drawing of what i would be constructing, anything could be made to order meaning if youd like the tank to lay horizontal or vertical, plexi glass or not, LED color or no LED's pretty much anything. if intrested contact me at the email ive provided and ill reply back with a rough draft of what i would be making along with any questions you may have.

i am currently in afghanistan so i wouldnt be able to start these till october ish time frame :guns:

What kind of material will you be using. Wondering if I could maybe make some out of fiberglass.

i dont have much to any experience in fiberglass but i do in welding, the tanks would be constructed out of aluminum and sealed to insure a leak proof tank

Well don't use aluminum for a meth tank. It's highly corrosive. Hince why every manufacture uses a plastic tank.

And not to burst your bubble but there are a ton of aluminum tanks on the market of all shapes and sizes for a 150.00 or less. Not even worth picking up a plasma cutter and a welder to fabricate one when there are so many options available for so little money.

Here are some examples of tanks that range from 90-120 dollars.

not to burst your bubble but im sure i could produce what i have in mind for alot less but if your not intrested then i really do not need your opinion
also i already have connections so i do not need to buy a welder or a plasma cutter or any kind of tool or equiptment needed to construct a custom tank hook-ups are the sh!t

Slow down there Grass-Hopper. no one is saying it's not worth making a tank when nothing else will work. All I'm saying is from a manufacturing stand-point it's not worth doing unless they're tanks that you can set up a jig for and mass produce.

And I hope to god you don't need to rely on other peoples equiptment to make your own custom parts. (Plasma cutter, Welder) That would be a start in the wrong direction if your going to start to make these for other people.

Remember you asked what people thought, and being in the fabrication business; I gave you my advice. It wasn't to be a dick, it was to show you that unless your set up to make a buch of tanks, that it's not worth your own time and energy to brake even at the end of the day. Unless your just doing this because your a swell guy and wanna make stuff for nothing. In that case rock-on.

Regardless of how your doing it, i would definently be down for some custom resivors.

i dont plan on being a company or what not, dont plan on mass production all i plan on doing is making special order tanks and as far as i know ive had this thread on for a couple weeks and seems liek not many people r intrested so mass production doesnt even cross my mind at all, not before and not now

You will find most of the people here are broke or have very little to spare when it comes to custom fabrication. More than likely due to the economy.

But more over, most of the people here are out of the box type of people if you didn't figure that out. Thats not to say all of them are but very few are willing to due the unknown.

What you just asked for; would take someone here with a little fabrication knowledge on at the very least, how to measure. Good Luck, some of these people can't even put on a C.A.I with out forum help, much less measure a part for you that will need to fit in an exact area. So if you due get a taker on building a tank, get a exact sketch with measurements singed by the buyer and at least 50% up front.

Good luck on your endevour.

I thought about something like this once. I have a cnc plasma table ( that needs to be fixed) and can weld any metal. I mean any! Lol I even weld all type of plastics. Its my job. But custom tanks sound cool.
