Hey everyone i am new to the sight and wanted to introduce my self. I live l.a. county west covina to be exact i work in cerritos and and moreno valley (boonies). i have a 2008 scion xb with approximately 5300 miles on it and was wanting to be a part of a scion community that enjoys the culture in a respectful way and does some things for the community to show that this car craze is not all about being immature and reckless. Well the other night i was driving home on the 605 freeway and i saw an xb pull up next to me but unlike any other time he didnt try to race like every other scion or honda ive ran into in the last month ive had this car. I thought that was pretty cool that there are still some people that fix up their cars but don't cause traffic hazard. when i looked at the back of his car I saw the scikotics sticker and decided to check it out. It was exactly what i expected a good club that you would be proud of to represent. Don't get me wrong I was young once too and did some reckless things with my car but as I got older and seeing some good friends pass away and have their lifes change drastically due to some bad decisions (street racing mainly) I realized that being a tuner should come with responsibility. In no way am I new to the sport I grew up around he sport my brother was one of the originals back in the late 80s and early 90s when he ran with precision and cyber and I myself have owned a civic crx del sol and integra (typical) then I decided to get a suv but with the gas prices being outrageous I traded it in for the xb and was truly shocked with quality of the vehicle needless to say it drew me back in. Hopefully I can be welcomed into the scikotics organization. I am planning to jdm the car and have ordered the rumion front end and back end along with the the corresponding badges and trim accessories for the interior and exterior which was an investment in itself. The in car electronics will be provided by planet stereo by next week whenever I have a day off which includes 8 monitors so my kids can enjoy the ride and hopefully myles from dch and revhard can configure a turbo that will make this scion pack a punch all these projects should be done within the next 2-4 months and I can move on to the bodykit hood and interior to match so it can be show ready by the end of the year but well see cause it is also my daily driver unless I trade in my other car for an xd. I know this is long and sorry about that but I thought the only proper way to enter a club was to properly introduce yourself so the members can get a clear picture as to what kind of person you are.
