speaker adapter brackets?

Has anyone here installed aftermarket speakers into their xD? I need to get speaker brackets for it, but I don't know which ones. I saw these on ebay. Either way, I'm guessing I'll need to drill right?

not sure yet, I'll be finding out myself this weekend hopefully. I would imagine brackets would be needed. Toyota uses a weird speaker system, stock mounting holes never match aftermarket speakers.

In our xD we have aftermarket polks. We have components in the front using the 6 1/2 and tweet and then in the back we just used two way 6 1/2 polks in the back and were able to use what was there. There were not a lot of changes other that not using the new grills to keep the look of the car clean.

Now, if you are going to use something smaller or larger that may and will cause some issues.

crutchfield.com has mounting brackets!!!! some drilling may be required....but its not bad just a hole or two...

those adapter plates should work :up:
