Hmm Might Have A Problem

For the past few months if i accelerate any faster than a soccer mom my engine starts to smell like shit. This happens if i even do it once and it nto burnt rubber, just engine. Whats wrong?

New exhaust? Sometimes they smell when they're new.

I'm not bothered by the smell. I just don't want my engine to blow up or break or somethin.

When it started, had you done anything to your car?
If not, what was the last thing you did to the car before it happened? If by smelling like shit, you mean this foul smell, possibly close to rotten eggs, than yea, nick hit it on the nose. If you put any new exhaust or any of the such on, typically the stuff they use to "preserve" the finish while the price is in storage will burn off, and it smells rather bad.
Do you smell it after a long drive also? or only on harder accellerating? A shot in the dark, maybe you got a new pulley and the wrong belt?

first have you done ANYTHING to the car lately, any paint, washed the engine bay, new mods, etc.


Answer that, then we can think of something.

could be anything look under your ride for pastic bags on you exhaust .....sometimes you can pick em' up off the road they stick on your pipe and bingo you stink like shit and they can stick with you for a while... also i painted my mini truck and got overspray on the exhaust and it stunk for months....

No new mods. Just when i first got my liscense, about 5,000miles-6,000miles i floored it alot. it automatic. could that have hurt engine? new bumper put on around july. since it goes out farther than the original stock bumper, the black plastic stuff under car is held onto by those plastic wire tires. could that bumper b part of it?
