View Full Version : Headers???
I have been looking at the DC Sports and Megan headers. in your opinion which one is the best choice or is there a better choice out there than either of those?
Also if anyone has headers did it make your check engine light come on?
edit* sorry i forgot to mention i have a 2006 Tc

Which car? tC? xA/xB?
Strup sponsors us - you can get the tC header for a nice price.
Of all the headers for the tC, the only 4-2-1 header is the Monster Motorworks, but it's very expensive and we (Myself, Karl, many others) don't trust their business practices.
DC Sports MAY have a true 4-2-1 header out, but i don't see it anywhere....
For the rest of the 4-1 headers, Alphawerks is the best in terms of gains, then comes the megan, then the DC sports. The Strup header has yet to be dyno tested, but it looks the best :D

I have no idea which is better, but I do know two things. One that the cel light is going to come on because you wont have cat anymore, and two, anything over stock is way better. I purchased the megan racing header two days ago waiting for them to come in from California, and see what im awaiting for I do know for fact also that the megan racing headers are also dynode proven to give you an average 9-13 whp and 8-10-torque.
alright thanks for the info.....i've heard good things about the alpha werks header but haven't actually sat down to research them....guess i'll look into that one now....

2 of my NJ members have the AW Header... it gives nice gains.
They've been tested on SL: http://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=82724

i think that monster has the best (and frickin loudest... 2 resonaters and you can still hear me coming from 2 blocks away) headers. That is why i own them but they are pricy! The Alphawerks are a close second, but they run hot. I will be selling my MMWs just as soon as i can afford a turbo! 8)
