stainless steel exhaust

i have a brand new stainless steel exhaust and i missed a finger print when i was wipeing it down its right on the tip, now its burned in to th metal. is there any way to polish it out my self?

I did the same thing when I put on my Stup catback. I tried Mothers mag and aluminum polish and it came out after a couple of applications. Good luck!

just use a rag? or steel wool

it happened to me on the mustang.
i started with the rag but steel wool finished the job.

if your gonna use steel whool make sure you use 0000 grit so it just dont scratch it. Also you can use this stuff called Goof off that works wonders!!
