is having a vented hood bad for your engine? since all the water goes in if its raining or when your washing your car?

Nope I have had mine on my tC for like almost 2 years and it snows where I live. If anything it will help keep your engine cooler I think.

Should be fine within reason ya know. Like don't go through rivers and such, lol
Cause the engine bay isn't water tight to start with, just may have some extra cleaning to do in there.

I have the kaminari reverse cowl.

not likely to cause any probs depending on where the opening is above.

Some hoods you can cover the vents.

Well i am going to be getting the Kaminari rev. cowl hood, i am thinking i wont have such an issue, mainly because the vent is aimed downward towards the front

can i ask which style vent hood you have, is the opening right above the valve cover, or elsewhere

the went on the kaminari opens up behind the radiator. and theres a "lip" on it so water can't just flow straight into the vent, and even if it does its going into the empty space in front of the header....

cleaning my engine bay for asylum, i just wiped everything down like i normally do and didnt notice it being any more dirty then i have seen it before.

They are all the same hood no matter where you order it.... they also all ship from the same place. It's just drop shipping.

I have been looking for a Seibon and found this place to be the cheapest. Octane Motorsports (http://www.octanemotorsports.com/Scion-Scion-tC-Hoods---Carbon-Fiber-Fiberglass/c8_111_247/index.html) Shipping to a business addy is free and residential is only $35. Shipping usually kills you on these.
