logo?

hey guys. i know im not an official Sciko yet but i was wondering does NOVA Chapter actually have a logo? i havent been able to see one. and if not does anyone have ideas? maybe the official nova peeps can decide. can use like a nova landmark or something.

we had one a while back if i remember correctly... it was the capital with NOVA underneath it... i dont know if it was ever finalized or maybe im thinking of something else. if you have any ideas throw them up.

Yep, we sure do... We voted on it last year. The Capitol idea was something Dave had me whip up, nobody really liked it, and SoMD took charge of DC so it doesn't really apply to us. So here's what we put in place.

We had to get something approved by the National folks, which required up to follow certain standards, and font sizes, etc. This logo met all the criteria that we were given at the time, and is recorded as being our official one.

Also im currently working on getting our logo in solid black and solid white 10" vinyls. I should have these soon, they will be 7$ a piece. This is something i have been working on with Rob. I will make an announcement on the boards when they are ready.

a silohuette of this? i know you said MD kinda took over DC but we are still considered dc area too logically. i kinda like a sillohuette od this better than the capital. i cant do any photoshop but if you guys can that would be nice to place the pretty NOVA SCIKOTICS up there from xodyaq where the water is would be a nice location.. or put the nova scikotics where the sky is in between the monuments and cut it off where the land and water meets. it will go flush with the bottom section of the rear window...... can someone mock it up?

See, I would think that to be a bad idea. If a new member joins from DC proper, they will roll over to SoMD, not us. I think doing something like this would confuse prospective members. Just my $0.02

I kinda like the idea of the dc silhouette but people would get confused with that and think we are from dc.... there isn't many noticeable land marks in nova... we could have the state outline in the back ground and the NOVA Scikotics in the middle....just my thoughts

Then you would confuse folks from 2/3rds of the state who roll up to other chapters... I know we had a lot of deabte on this topic, and that was why we went with what we have now... And besides where is has already been approved by national. It seems that we are beating a dead horse.

i have a buddy in fredericksburg that cuts vinyl. he uses think vinyl not cheap stuff like others do. hes good and prices are fair. he hooks up car clubs. if you guys can get me the file i can email it to him. heres a few pics of his work on my rides.

gotcha covered bro....i should have the first run of vinyal by the 26th of this month, if everything looks good to everyone then i will go and get a larger run of cuts done. The 10" is 6$ and the 16" is 12$. So by the March meet hopefully most everyone will have one or at least have one on order.

i can always meet up with you before the next meet jsut to have the stickers on my ride. lol i hope we will get to meet all 30 members of the nova chapter if there is that many. lol last nights meet was cool, met some new friendly faces other than just forums names. lol but only 5 cars out. boo.

By the way, I got a line on some cheap t-shirts. I'd be looking at $12-14 per person (depending on size.) But to get them we'd need to pony up the cash in advance, but for that I get a one shirt minimum... We should probably start talking about shirts at this point...

Want me to run a couple through Wayne? I don't have a real design as of yet... But we could make something to show off, and go from there. You should see the ones I just desgined for the Scouts I work with. I think they look awesome.
