Ok, M-Day (Moving Day) is fast aproaching. In the works, I have jobs lining up for Fayetteville and Winston-Salem. If I don't get either of those jobs, I'm looking to move in the Raleigh area.
Anyone know of safe neighborhoods, maybe some apartments? Apartment I'd like would have washer/dryer hookups in the apartment. Other than that, its open. Price range, nothing more than 600/mo if possible.

We live on the west edge of the city. WFU is in the north central part of the city, about 15min away.
There are a bunch of rentals in my area. For apartment complexes you have Brookberry Park, Glen Eagles, and Robinhood Court. Another option would be to rent a condo. There are several condo complexes around that always have rentals available in them (Raintreee, Fox Run, and Stonehenge).
IDK if you have kids, but the cachement area for Raintree, Fox Run, and Brookberry park have excellent schools.
Any questions about Winston just PM. When you get to town give us a shout and we'll make you dinner.

That's why I'm posting here for areas to avoid lol
I'll know more through the month of Feb. If the jobs don't pan out, I'm going to be hanging with my cousin in Durham and most likely be in the cary/raleigh area for jobs. I work in IT and have gotten offers, but they go limp when they find out I'm not really here yet.

Whats traffic like down there? If I'm 40 mins away, is it actually 40 mins, or is it an hour?

Problem I'm seeing is I'm going to be on a limited budget, so I can't really afford $700 apartments and thats what I'm finding lol
There are some $600 apartments that include water, trash, etc. How much does that usually cost down there?
