OK first off.....search for stuff before you just ask random questions. Most of this information is already posted.
A header on that car won't add anything noticable. And if your considering a turbo then you don't need a header. And leave the E-bay shit right where it lays........in the garbage bin.
Second how old are you? So much random crap rolls through here that I'm making sure you have the ability to even do the things you want to do.
Ok never mind I see you are a truck driver. So I'll sum it up to you really don't know about this kind of stuff

Pardon the rude person that posted before me. A header will give you 5-7 depending on supporting mods (axleback, intake etc) remember an engine is a glorified air pump you wanna get as much air in and out as you can. I suggest the strup header, it's a great, well built product and Charlie is a super nice guy. As for the eBay turbo stuff, yes you can use it but it is just that, eBay stuff. The turbo manifolds are cheaply made and often crack, and the turbos are hit or miss sometimes you get a good one, sometimes it's blown in a month. I have had 2 friends successfully use them on a Toyota x-runner and a tc.

Like I said, it ad's nothing noticable.
And I'm not being rude, just beeing straight. We've covered all this before.
So before you go and buy a bunch of useless mods. Be sure you know what you want to accomplish. If its a turbo, then start a thread on a turbo build on your self. Just look before you leap.
Also is this an automatic or stick?

All I have to say is that you have to pay to play. Most scion owners fail to realize this. Hey, xbgod, are you going to Scion exposed? I want to see that beast.

If you drive an Auto, I found a kit for about $4k... and it only has a gain of about 45-50hp on a stock engine... so technically the question is... how deep does the rabbit hole go?

Ouch!
It is an automatic. Just looked at your profile.
This means weak tranny and awfull shift points.
So since I doubt your ready to even think about a tranny swap, heres my advice to get you more reliable power.
Step 1:
Blitz supercharger. ( Best bang for your buck) not to mention hands down better than the Greddy one.
Step2:
New header "DC Sports" or what ever one you want.
Step3:
Good axel back exhaust: Shunk2, Blitz, Greddy
Step4:
Under drive pulley
This should render you about 45 hp to the wheels. With your automatic.
Good luck

I will agree... I've got a great 4-2-1 header and I plan on buying the whole Apexi Exhaust System downpipe back. I thought about a tranny swap but too costly... I plan on doing more motor upgrades later... I want to finish the interior and exterior to make it what I'm looking for and then the motor stuff

Bingo!
You don't necessarily need to go in that order, but those are the mods that will give you the best gains. I am a huge fan of turbochargers, but on the xB, a supercharger is the way I suggest going.
