So i decided i was a little bored in guam and decided i would teach myself how to make a sub box. plus i was sick and tired of my old one and couldnt see paying somebody else to make a box for me. so what better way to save money and make it how "I" wanted. it was a great learning experience except i couldnt figure out the math part so i just guestimated how big it should be. so if somebody can help me out with the math formulas it would be great. the part where the sub is, is 20" long 12" tall and 12" wide. its fully sealed and to me i think it sounds pretty good. sounds alot better than my old box that was ported anyways.
sorry everything is uber dirty but i dont have a vacuum

looks good bro! here is the math to figure our the air space of your box. first you need to know that 1 cubic foot is 12x12x12 so looking at your demensions, your box is obviously larger than a cubic foot bc your box is 12x12x20. here is how you figure it out...
multiply LxWxD of your box... which in your case is 20x12x12. you come up with 2880.
and we know that 1 cubic foot is 12x12x12, which comes out to...1728.
so now all you have to do is divide your number (2880) by 1728, and you get 1.66. so your box is a little over a cube and a half! keep in mind that i went off of the dimensions you gave me... if those are the outside measurements, then your air space will be smaller. and i didn't take in account that the sub magnet is down in the box either. it you want to know the TRUE cubic air space of your box, you can measure the internal dimensions of the box, multiply them all togehter, and divide that number by 1728. and usually in the paper work for the sub, it will tell you how much air space the basket takes up, but i would say you did a dam good job just estimating my man!

those were all internal dimensions. the sub was second hand so ill have to do some research. but im trying to find a new sub that will work with the box. im glad that yall think it looks really good for my first box cause im super proud of it. lol.
