This is one of the biggest shows in Oklahoma and they will definitely have a Scion class. There is also a $200 prize for Best Club Participation.

More info:
1.Vehicles are judged by two different judges. One Club guy , One Custom Paint and Body guy, or an Interior Guy. We have used this system and it works really well. The entire show is vidioed and after every thing is put into our computers it totals up the scores. This shows if we missed anyone and all that stuff. We then go back and look at all the vehicles on video and compare to the scoring to insure that all looks good and is correct. Most of our Judges usely own like custom Scions in your case. This way everyone starts out equal. I have added anothe Scion Class to this show also to spread it out. Street, Mild and Wild. Spring Bash is even broken down even more with XB and TC and what ever else i need to know. 3 or more creats a new Class. Exterior Max 45 points, Interior 20 points, Engine 15 Points, Undercarriage 15 points, Overall Appearance 5 points. Displays are not counted. If rainy weather. Cleaness is over looked. Mother nature stuff. We are really fair. We have been doing this and we as a club do understand.
2.Electricity is $15 bucks per outlet, if they put in a strip they charge on that also per out let. Not my deal. They charge us for everything. So we have to pass it own.
3.You can have all the gas you want and keep your cables connected. No problem. It's just that since it is a closed area they can not run there vehicles inside to charge up batteries. Carbon Monoxide stuff. They may also take there vehicles out after the judging after 5PM. Need to be back Sunday before noon. Speciality judges finish up
before 2PM. There will be a Spookfest sticker put on your vehicle after it is finished being judge. Please leave them on until we have finished with the show. Drop em wear makes these and it works out. This is a fun show and we do have alot of coverage in this show. If a magazine wants to shoot a feature or something special. They ask us to move him out to do so.This show is different from Bash because we can spread out more and not as competive. Reminder: Pre regs is what it is, $25 bucks ,all money must be sent in before the show or it's no longer is a pre reg but $30 bucks, some folks do not understand that. I dont really think 8 (or however many we get) scions is going to make a big dent in their show. They really should have looked at scheduling better, I tried to tell them that Spookfest was one of the biggest shows in Oklahoma and Import Face Off is in Dallas the same day too.

Plus I don't think too many people from Oklahoma will make the extra 5 or 6 hour drive to San Antonio.

Dudes we are talking about lawton it is small trust me my parents currenty live there. You don't have to worry about proximity cause it is all within 5 miles of the coliseum.


Out of the recommendations that shan posted the baymont or hampton is the best.

Red lion is okay. Days Inn eh.

If it was me I would stay at the hampton inn since the putt putt golf, lohn john silver, and golden corral is across the street.
If you have military ties I highly recommend you stay on base since it is better and all of the hotel in the area. IMO


Oh and on this I KNOW THE BEST CAR WASH TO GO TO. It personally is my favorite.

Oh and what to do there

well the cruise is shreidan road and everybody hangs in the parking lot of sheridan mall (strip mall) till the cops chase them away. You can also cruise and chill at waynes on sheridian (if it is full the just opened up another one on old cache rd. and 67th near my moms house). like a said putt putt is near the hotels (plus or minus 1 mile) and the bowling alley is by McD's on cache road next to the RED LION inn (plus or minus a mile for the rest). For us texans they have a K-MART on 38th and Cache. Oh and watch the roads they suck ass (the best roads are on Ft. Sill).

I was thinking if you wanted to If everybody could get in to Lawton early on friday before the show we could cruise through the wichita mountains refuge area, chill at meers restaurant (eat a longhorn burger :lol: ), and cruise up mount scott and take some awesome pics :up: .

Most of the time you can get group discounts from any hotel. You just have to ask. We have a few members in Lawton, but Eddie is super busy and xl doesn't post much.

So we need someone to call around and see if we can get a group discount.

I spoke to the manager at the Baymont Inn and she said that she would give me the following rates:
At least 10 rooms booked would be $71.10 + tax
If we do 15 rooms she would give it to us at $67.60 + tax.

Here is lawton for you that is it.

It is a military town period. It is 3 hours from DFW and 1 1/2 hours southwest fro OKC.

I KNOW THIS PLACE INSIDE AND OUT SO I CAN ENTERTAIN ANYBODY'S QUESTIONS.

Some things you should know:
There is a sound oridance and they enforce it so keep the muffler quiet and the subwoofers down. My friend got popped with a 200.00 dollar ticket when I was going to cameron.
Don't bump at the car wash when cleaning and detailing cause there are undercover cops working there as well.
Also don't run yellow cause they will pull you over for that too. Be especially careful on the left turn onto cache from sheridan (most of you will have to make that turn to get to the hotels) cause megan got a ticket running a yellow.
Lastly the 5mph over rule doesn't apply and you will see when you wonder why everybody is sooooo damn slow.
Other than that lawton is a pretty cool place especially if you are a retiring.

If you are staying at the baymont you have the following things around you: You are directly behind K-Mart and have the follwoing eateries: arby's, IHOP, Starbucks, Denny's and Bar B Q across the street.

If you are staying at the hampton inn you have the follwoing things: lohn john silvers, golden corral, empress of china, putt putt, taco bell, and some shitty pool halls and a supposed Irish pubs that always has fights n shit.

Any particular eatery lemme know and I will find the location for you. (It is not much) As far as mexican Los Tres Amigos on 52nd and old cache rd. is a great place to eat.

If we are going to meet up meaning N.Texas and DFW chapters MY SUGGESTION (no flame please) is to meet in decatur at the allsups cause it is on the right hand side of the road. If not then may both chapters be safe that weekend and watch the cops cause they are on partol in that area. Trust Me :up:

My question is since this is a two day show are those that enter allowed to leave with their car that night?

Well, the show starts at 10 and set-up starts at 7 on Saturday. They are actually doing set-up on Friday all day too but I for one cannot afford two nights in a hotel....lol. So I figure we are going to need at least 2 hours to clean before the show starts, that means we are going to need to leave around 5am. :doh:

Here are some answers to questions I sent to Woody, the guy that runs the show and the club that is putting on the show.


HI Jon,
1.Vehicles are judged by two different judges. One Club guy , One Custom Paint and Body guy, or an Interior Guy. We have used this system and it works really well. The entire show is vidioed and after every thing is put into our computers it totals up the scores. This shows if we missed anyone and all that stuff. We then go back and look at all the vehicles on video and compare to the scoring to insure that all looks good and is correct. Most of our Judges usely own like custom Scions in your case. This way everyone starts out equal. I have added anothe Scion Class to this show also to spread it out. Street, Mild and Wild. Spring Bash is even broken down even more with XB and TC and what ever else i need to know. 3 or more creats a new Class. Exterior Max 45 points, Interior 20 points, Engine 15 Points, Undercarriage 15 points, Overall Appearance 5 points. Displays are not counted. If rainy weather. Cleaness is over looked. Mother nature stuff. We are really fair. We have been doing this and we as a club do understand.
2.Electricity is $15 bucks per outlet, if they put in a strip they charge on that also per out let. Not my deal. They charge us for everything. So we have to pass it own.
3.You can have all the gas you want and keep your cables connected. No problem. It's just that since it is a closed area they can not run there vehicles inside to charge up batteries. Carbon Monoxide stuff. They may also take there vehicles out after the judging after 5PM. Need to be back Sunday before noon. Speciality judges finish up
before 2PM. There will be a Spookfest sticker put on your vehicle after it is finished being judge. Please leave them on until we have finished with the show. Drop em wear makes these and it works out. This is a fun show and we do have alot of coverage in this show. If a magazine wants to shoot a feature or something special. They ask us to move him out to do so.This show is different from Bash because we can spread out more and not as competive. Reminder: Pre regs is what it is, $25 bucks ,all money must be sent in before the show or it's no longer is a pre reg but $30 bucks, some folks do not understand that. Hey Guys,
I'm really sorry but I'm gonna have to back out. I'm going to Exposed in Atlanta instead. I really wanted to go to Spookfest with you guys but I've got a deal in Atlanta that I just can't pass up. My parents and brothers live just outside of Atlanta so it's also a chance to hook up with my family. :up: I know you guys are gonna have a blast and I expect a detailed report when you get back.

Ok, there was some question as to where we would be parking since they have indoor and outdoor parking there, We WILL be inside if we stick to the plan and get there before 8:30 on Sat.

Also they have created more classes for Scion, so it will now be street-radical. Thats 9 trophies now as far as I know. :up:

And the best part is, since this is a Halloween show, all the trophies have a Frankenstein on top. :loveit:

There was a mix-up and a family emergency and because of that they painted the underside of the hood the same color as the topside instead of the color of the engine bay like I wanted.

Ok virgin, you will need a converter if you want to run your electronics all weekend.

The blue tape is to keep bugs and rocks off your front end (mainly bugs) so you don't have to clean so much when you get there. If it is cold when we leave, which it will most likely be, bugs probably won't be an issue. I drove all the back from Springfield at night yesterday and I think I got like 5 bugs.

From what I have learned battery charges will not cut it.
And I have no idea if you can rent converters, generally you supply your own.

I had a battery charger for usaci last year, but all i had to power was my dvd headunit, subs and amp. But i couldn't turn the volume up loud or it would cut out.
