im looking to take it off and paint it black. was wondering whats the best way to take it off and then to reapply it after its painted?

patience a single edge razir blade some soapy water and goo gone,
spray around the emblem with soapy water , then gently slide a razor blade behind it and pull, then use the soapy water and goo gone to remove the remaining adhesive, then to reapply clean all the tape off the back, and get some 3m moulding tape sold at autozone, lay it on the back then trim it to fit clean the area you are going to place it with rubbing alcahol peel then peel the red tape off and stick back on the car

^ sounds good except for the razor blade. use dental floss or fishing line to prevent accidentally cutting into the paint.

sounds good. i use a razor blade and soapy water as a lube so the blade slides on the clear coat

I took mine off with the shear force of my fingernails! :mrb: After I painted it, I heated the glue that was already on the emblem an stuck it right back on. :up:
