So yesterday, I was driving my 08 xB (manual transmission) and I started noticing that when I had the cruise control on in 4th and 5th gear, the RPM's would quickly go up but the MPH wouldn't increase. It was like someone was pushing the clutch in, but that wasn't the case. I continued to drive the car onto the interstate where whatever the issue is finally gave out, and the car wouldn't increase speeds at all. I can put the car in any gear and pull the clutch out and the vehicle will continue to run. The thing is, the car only has 50k miles on it, any ideas?
