Vin # tag question

Scions are tagged with the vin code on every parel of the car. I own a 2004 and 2005, the tags are different on the 04 from any other xB ive seen, its the only 04 around right now. Any one knoe why its different, maybe cause it was the first year or somthin. Any way to know the # of the car rollin off the line as well. thanks for any input, things ive been curious about.

i thought that the last 5 or 6 numbers were what number the car was in production. i may be wrong though.
