Ok, a lot of you probably know me from scionlife, so hello to all of you and those that may not know me.

I feel that car clubs should be more than just a "club" that people belong to and should always have support and other useful things.. which I think this one does. So here goes.

Those that know me from scionlife know that I created the center console mod so the leds could be swapped and come out looking correctly (not dim) and that I was doing a lot of them for people on there for a while. Some began using the instructions and doing the mods for people as well, which is fine. Some charged lower prices and I was questioned about mine (I was charging $160 for a gauge and center console mod together.. some that required more mods were a little more). The mod, done carefully, fully cleaned to remove corrosive solder flux and tested takes a few hours to do correctly, so my labor rate was still very low compared to most any technical related work. However, I am not arguing with others pricing or anything like that. I simply sell my work on the quality and the knowledge behind it with a 100% backing on the work.

But, that is just background.. not meaning to go off on a tangent.

I would like to extend a large reduction in price for those that are members of scikotics. I think it is good incentive to participate and be part of the club. I wont advertise pricing here because I am still not completely sure how that falls into the rules here. So mods, if I am out of line please let me know and I will correct myself :) I am also working on some other nice mods for the tC gauges and interior lighting, and would also extend discounts to the scikotics members for all of it when they become available

If anyone is interested or has any questions in general please feel free to ask. I am more than happy to answer technical questions as well when I can. Just thought I would introduce myself and extend the info on all of my work and the discount for members.

Again, I appologize in advance if I am out of line for posting this and will gladly remove it or post where needed if the mods see fit. Thanks !

Dave

Feel free to post prices, this site isn't here to make anybody money......lol.

If you need me to do anything let me know.

Thanks Franken!

$110 + shipping for gauge and HVAC module led conversion with the mod so the center console brightness matches the gauges. This price for gauges, odo and HVAC module

$125 + shipping to add the shift indicators on and automatic gauge cluster to the setup above.

All 100% backed by me. If something I do does not work properly, I pay the shipping and will fix it ASAP.

I have also done some repair for others that have tried to do the HVAC module and came out with issues. Those are on a depends kind of basis :) It depends on what the issue is, but I will price as fairly as possible.

I will add for new mods as I get them finished.

You can call me Jon.

Do you do stuff for xB's and xA's too?

I dont have one at my disposal to test on. If someone local to me would be willing to let me take a look I am sure I could come up with some cool mods for it. Maybe I can make one of the next meets here in the twin cities and work out something with some xA and xB owners.

As long as we schedule when it is to be sent to me, I will have it done the day I recieve it. I basically come home from work, pick up the package and finish them that evening. So shipping plus one day. I make sure to schedule no more than one per evening to do, so I am able to take my time and ensure everything is right and still have it out the next morning. I have done about 20 sets so far, so the time is pretty constant for each one.

For those located in the twin cities metro area on the minneapolis side I can usually come by and uninstall, take them home to do the conversion and then return and re-install for no extra charge if it is on a weekend.

If anyone is interested, just message me here or at engifineer@hotmail.com

Anything new for the tC?

Unfortunately I havent been able to put much time into finishing the new stuff... but there has been yet another change to my prices. For scikotics members, I will do the Gague and center console LED swap mentioned above for $90 plus return shipping. I have found a better supplier for parts.. so that saving I will pass forward to the customer.

I was wondering that as well.

I have been wanting to do this mod for a while, but I think it would be well worth the money to have someone that knows what they are doing do this mod to my car. I will be up in the twin cities in July over a weekend. I may have to try and scrounge up some money for this mod.

Hello everyone! Sorry I have been away for a while. A two week vacation and then trying to catch up has been fun :P I will be out again next week on a business trip.. but should be around for a while afterwards. But here is the new scoop and some answers to your questions. Also, thanks for the nice things said about my work, I appreciate that! I try to provide quality work at a low price. If for any reason anything does go wrong I will gladly pay all shipping costs and repair it asap.

As for the LEDs, you are probably better off letting me supply those. I have recently been able to drop my prices even more due to deals I worked with suppliers. So for a typical setup it now runs $90 plus return shipping for Scikotics members.

If I can offer any more info just let me know, or you can pm to set up something. Those of you that are travelling through here and want to, let me know and we can set up some time to do them as long as I am around. Or just let me know and we can grab a beer :P Its always cool to meet new people.

Thought I would bump this finally and update a bit. I get a lot of questions/requests via pms on different forums, so I FINALLY got off my kiester and posted my stuff online. A guy I talk to a lot on the forums has his own site, so I tied into that one. The site is doctorisotope.com

So hopefully that routes more requests and diy questions through my email address to make it easier to keep up.

Along with my stuff going up there (hvac and gauge mods, etc), it is a great site to check out for all you tC guys and gals. Doc makes awesome parts at low prices. Also a great guy to deal with. I have been running his gearswitcher package (short shifter, cable bushings, etc) for quite some time now and couldnt be happier.

Anywho, that is the belated update!

so what exactly does the mod change? I am still new to all this. I figure you change the color of lights in the gages but what is the HVAC?

Feel free to check up on my stuff at doctorisotope.com and email me at the address on the site. It is much easier for me to keep up with messages through email than on the forums. As always, if there is something else you wanted that is not on the site, just let me know and I can tell you if it is doable and how much it will cost. What is funny is that my prices have been set at those rates for well over a year now.. I just dont think that people have caught on since I always did word of mouth business on the forums. Same with doctorisotope (who I share that site with). His parts are top notch and his prices kill most other vendors out there. And most of his stuff is 100% customizable.
