I'm thinking of buying some used Volk wheels. Anyway, the seller wants my steelies. Is this a good idea living where it snows and they salt the roads? I can get them for $450 without giving my steelies/$400 with. SALT BAD!!!!! :guns:

I think for $50 I would keep the steelies.
I wish I still had my steelies. :(

I still have my steelies too. They make really good spares when needed.

About a month ago, I bought a set of stock tC rims for my RS1 for the winter. I know you don't have much of a winter down in Arkasas, but I find it comforting knowing that if any of my tires blow, I can go home, get some other rims, and be using those while I am getting different tires for my main rims.

well ... AR & OK ... we don't have bad winters ... usually ... but they do salt/sand/chem the shit out of the roads when there's so much as a frozen puddle. We aren't equipped for winter weather, and it shows.
Pay the extra $50 and keep the steelies, I doubt you'll find anyone to sell you a set for $50 come winter when you decide you should have kept them

So the salt will eat the finish on painted rims? :blink1:
