I'm Disappointed!

I understand wanting to be around more Scikotics, but our lack of enthusiasm for Oklahoma car shows is gonna hurt oklahoma shows. Without support, Oklahoma car shows wouldn't exist. I'm in no posistion to show or I'd be at Spring Bash. Woody created a class just for Scions, trying to keep us comming. People are gonna do what people are gonna do regardless of my rant. I just wish everyone looked at the big picture. Not supporting our local shows will only give us less shows to attend. Regardless, Have fun and good luck.

Jon was thinking more in terms of Scikotics than the Okla car show scene -- where he thought he would have more fun.

Well the only way from my view; is to get us Texans to support OK shows since some of you come down here it is only fair we go up their. However I am not a MFIC f so I can only encourage people to go. Tunerfest is in OK ,I think, I will be their with or without my chapter.

Actually there is currently NO Tunerfest planned due to last years lack luster show. I dont want to keep loosing shows. Lowdown Showdown is gone too. Im all about making out of state shows. Heat Wave was the sickest show Ive ever been to. Greenville S.C. is supposed to be a great show that Id like to make. But, I just dont want to see our Best Oklahoma shows leave and only have Hot ROd shows. I love hangin with the Scikotics as much as everyone else but, If we want sponsors for Asylum we need to shmooze with the locals. lol Again its just my rant.

Well if the import scene in OK fosters another tunerfest I will show my support. I was planning on being in Lawton this weekend but because I opened my mouth here in DFW I have to support the dealer sponsered shows here.

Shannon, I see where your coming from but face it.... Okla shows aren't exactly the best. Brad got a flyer for this years Tunerfest at lasty weekends show, but maybe it'll be cancled... i don't know. People are goona do what they want, man. a show is a show, weather its here, or out of state. I would much rather attend a show that will be filled with scikotics, rather than a bunch of hot rods. thats just me tho. Hell... i missed out all together cus i had to work, so i got shit on even worse.

Anywho, I saved a lot of money by going to a free 4 hour show in Texas as opposed to a 2 day show that I would have had to pay for in Oklahoma.
And, I wouldn't have made it to Lawton in time anyway, we didn't get done with my car until like 8 AM. :Roll:

I'm not exactly sure who was heading to Lawton. Actually, several that were going to Lawton ended up backing out because of work.
Jon and I, Matt, Jason, and Lance went from Tulsa.
Vaughn, Robert, and Ryan went from OKC.

Everyone knew I wasn't making either show. Ty called me from Lawton and I let him know everyone else went down to TX. I'd rather have gone to the TX show though.

Shannon just wants us to support local car shows, which is understandable...but I'd rather go to a Scion event, too. Sounds like most everyone made the right decision.
