What do you guys think about seat covers?

So i was thinking about buying seat covers...what do you guys think about those? Are they ok looking? I know it would be better to buy new seats and everything but i dont have that kind of money right now...im doing my interior and stuff orange and black so i found some orange and black covers...let me know what you think guys

I love seat covers, if they're quality ones. I wish ScionShoppe was still around - They made really nice ones for cheap ($400'ish). Now you gotta go with Katzkins or something else and those are expensive ($1k+).

if they are quality, they are pretty nice, otherwise i think they are cheap and kinda dumb if they look straight up like something they arnt

I like them. I put on some $25 seat covers from AutoZone and they look pretty good. they match my interior and exterior =P. I wouldnt mind new seats either, cash is too low =\

If your talking about when they get new seats, I am pretty sure you lose the advantage of them and I remember reading something about tricking the car into thinking that they still work or something. Could be wrong though. I also remember it being a bigger issue with driver seat as opposed to passenger.

Some seats are "Distressed" (Basically weakened on the side) for side curtain airbags. I know the Katzkins are made that way.

If this thread is about seat covers than Katzkin isn't what you want. Katzkins are new seat material not seat covers. You take your stock material off an put those on. I found some for $850 front and rear black and red. I believe Clazzio seat covers are what people are running for seat covers and there is a thread on SL with I believe Longo Toyota offering discounts to SL members. From what I've seen they look pretty good for seat covers and don't look cheap and loose.

I actually have the clazzio seat cover and I'll post pics later but on scionlife they are $380ish I have black leather with suede inserts...You can't really tell they are seat covers and they fit over the stock seat material.
