Air Temp Sensor

does anyone know about putting a reristor on the air temp sensor to free up some horsepower is this fact or fiction? they are all over ebay for the xb,tc and xa it cost like 3 bucks

DONT DO IT .

All the resister does it tell the computer , the air temp is cooler than it really is and that make the computer add more fuel , which make
the car run Richer than it should for a given air temp .. :md: :md:
