I just took delivery of my new ride on saturday and have a question.
The panel seam right above the AC and heather knobs and below the stereo and the panel to the left of it under the steering column.. is the joint between them supposed to be flat or is my panel a bad fit?
I'll take a quick pic of it during lunch and attach it.
Also it would seem the glove box closing is somewhat shoddy...

Post pics, also the glove box is on a hindge and might not have been attached correctly when they where putting in the air filter.
However you will have to give a mode detailed description of "shoddy" for us to understand what your talking about.

that panel should fit flush ... did you have the radio changed out? ...
the peice around the radio pops out .. then that lower peice pops off ... looks like it is just sitting there ...
if you had something installed (or if they removed an option) ... i would get back to the dealership in a heartbeat to get them to put everything back together correctly ...

Nope I didn't install anything myself. and I don't think the dealer installed anything either... it has the standard stereo... unless the remote start or foglight install required the dealer to remove the panel.
Dang it!! The dealer i bought it from is quite far away.... i do have another scion dealer closer... could i go to them?

you can go to any scion or toyota dealership .. or if you don't mind ... pop the two peices off yourself ... and push them back on correctly ...
do you have a pic of what you are talking about on the glove box?

that doc tells you how they come off .. and go back on if you want to try it yourself .. it sounds like someone just didnt snap it back in place ...
they may have removed that panel and other ones near it under the steering wheel to add the fog lights and remote start ...

mine was the same way. the dealer had to mount the stereo when they received it and whoever did it didnt line it up. its easy to fix. just pull the stereo/ vents out and then pull that piece off and line it up better.
