Has anyone got the Lambo door kit from www.customtc.com (http://www.customtc.com)
They don't look very strong and a little on the cheap side. I thought a good kit would be around $1,000.00. I know the doors on the tc are heavy is why Im asking.

Thanks guys

Well Im goin for that look to show too, but the problem right now is the doors on the tc are soo long every time I park somewhere I keep bangin the doors on other ppl car and knokin the paint off mine in the process. They don't want to stop in that first catch, they want to swing wide open. So thats the main reason why I want em. SO were you bangin your head getting out cause they don't look like they go 90 degress?

no not really u just have to crouch over a little. my girlfriend hated them and would open them as far as they go(sidways) and squeze out. make sure ur ready to but extra shocks cuz for a daily driver they tend to go out fast.

I hear ya man, so the 2 stage latch on the doors that hold them in two diff spots when you open them will go by by right. If you open the door at the first stage and there is enough room to get out without pullin them up thats cool too.

Thanks for the info on em

I just emailed him asking for details on the kit because that is definitely a killer deal. But it is a little suspicious indeed.;) I'll make sure and post up what info I receive.

The best kit out for our cars is either Vertical Doors Inc or LSD-Doors. Both will run upwards of $1500. If you wanna see the VDI kit check the link in my sig.

Ok here was my email with the guy from customtc.com:

(In the email I put that I was pleased with the side blinker overlays. We'll they aren't on my car cus they didn't want to cooperate and I just didn't want to start off with him on a bad note! lol)

Good morning,
I bought some side blinker overlays from you in the
past and am very pleased with them.

So I have to ask for some details on the Lambo door
kits.

How do you manage to sell them for $400 when other
companies are selling them for $1000+? Are your Lambo
Kits going to hold up as well or what's the
difference? I'm very interested and LOVE the price!

Please email me back with details.

Thank you very much for your time.
Hunter Taylor

To which he replied:
HI Hunter-

We got a really good deal on these.... they look just like the ones on
verticaldoors.com but these are a replica of them.
They work very well, but they are not the easiest to install. IT takes a
lot of time and patience to put them in. The ones we have sold,
customers have been very happy with them.

I hope that helps

Thanks
David

Sounds rather iffy personally. And I believe that you DO get what you pay for.

However if someone would like to be a guinea pig and buy a set of these and test them out for the rest of us that would be awful nice. :-)

Hello my friends:
About Lambo doors: Just thought I would pass on some information about a company called "Exotic car doors". This company (Peter) answered my e-mail to them and stated that they did in fact have a custom lambo door kit for a 2006 xB, So I ordered from them. When I recieved the hinges they were just a generic hinge that was made to drill and cut until you made it fit. Not what Peter told me. But since I had them I removed the front of my car and tried to install them, only to find out the whole assembly was about 4 inches too short. When I asked about returning them, remember this wasn't me changing my mind, this was false advertising and them sending me something that would not work, they stated that I would pay shipping and 35% restocking, plus the funniest part is the rest would be for store credit. Ha ha, for a store that doesn't make anything for my car!
Since they are enjoying my money, I intend to do many advertisements for them.
P.S. This week I ordered a pair from auto-parts-avenue.com They were such a well machined part that I held the door with one hand and installed the bolts in the hinges with the other. I did the whole job by myself.

Ya I would deffently like to see someone buy one of thoes kits from www.customtc.com (http://www.customtc.com/) Just to try it out and see what kind of kit you really are getting for $400. Looking at the site though everything on it is a little on the cheep side. Even the projector headlights with led halos were only $189 for a set. Mabey the site is just an Ebay type thing

Ok, if you are going to get Lamboghini style doors, just do it for yourself if you really want it. Don't do it for the car shows or the judges cuz to be very honest, they are played out way too much; especially on the tC. But anyways, they do look good on a car if done right just make sure its cuz you always wanted them or something, ya know?
