That looks really sharp man! I want to do mine when I get xD #2 but don't know what color???

What kind of paint did you use? I think I've seen paint specially for calipers.

You can also buy the kits at some auto parts stores. We picked up a kit of red for about $15 at Advance Auto Parts. They also sell Caliper Paint as spray paint, but I didn't want to have to bleed the brakes & I was too scared to spray stuff when it was still on the car.

dont buy that stuff.. ypu want the best your calipers get real hot $15 caliper paint is to cheap and will look dull. this stuff have a nice gloss.. Being Cheap isnt always the best.. You want your work to look good.. and just put tape over everything.. or you can take your calipers off and clean them thats the easiest way!

In the caliper paint at the parts store, you are limited on the colors you can get though. I have only seen red, blue, and silver. This place has a bunch of different colors. I'm sure Kristy will want the purple and I think I'm gonna get the white. :-)

I have seen several people that used the cheaper stuff and have had many problems with it. That's why I haven't bought any of it. It seems to start coming off after a while cause it's not as heat resistant as they say it is and it bubbles and then flakes off. It looks good when it's first done though.

Looks good BTW! :-)

On the other hand, I know that not everyone has had problems with it, so hopefully it will be fine. :-) I just don't want to take the chance. :-)

You dont have to girl... just take newspaper and tape and cover shit up to keep the overspray off...

Just take your time and you will be fine. Prep is the most important part of any paint project.

Prep it well, and mask it well (especially if you are spraying) I just did my calipers and rear drums bright red, and I thought I have everything masked off well, and still found a line of red on the underbody (didn't help that I was shitfaced and it was 2 in the am when I did this buuuut....)

I tried it with the brush stuff but I wasn't liking the finish so I switched to spray....but then again the finish probably would have been a lot nicer had I not been 15 beers into the evening

just a quick question, anyone in the north have any issues with cold weather and caliper paint peeling or cracking off? MN is bitterly cold in winter, and high humidity in the summer... just don't to have to worry about something looking like crap!

Yeah, the good kind, Duh! ;) LOL

I believe I used Duplicolor, and lots of brake parts cleaner to get the surface really, really clean to hep the paint adhere properly!
