I just bought a fujita intake for my '07, its the right part, the maf fits perfect, the only weird problem is that I get a check engine light at idle when I start it up and the rpm's are at about 1800. If I take off or let it warm up the rpm's go to normal and the check engine light goes off. its always back when I start up the car again, and goes away right after startup. Any idea what this is about?

its a fujita issue.. ive never heard of it acting like that, but the fujita intake will cause a CEL on 07s. (not 05s or 06s, dont know about the 08s though.) i had a CEL on for a few hundred miles after i installed mine, then one day i removed my inner fenders do to my drop and rims, lights been gone ever sense. :robot:

Ok, how do you reset the ecu? Someone on another forum said it needed to be reset.

Try disconnecting your battery. Leave it disconnected for about 10-15 minutes. That will reset the ECU. After that, the car may run a little rough, but drive it around a little bit to let the ECU "retune" itself (our cars have a very smart ECU). That should fix your idle issue though the check engine light may come back on. You'll just have to live with that though. One of the joys of modifying your ride.

Disconnect your battery like he said 10-15 Min. then while you are waiting remove your MAF sensor check the oring to make sure it wasn't damaged. If the oring is not damaged reinstall the MAF making sure it sits centered on the flange. Connect your battery start the car and let idle with everything off for 10 mins. Once you start driving you car take the rpm's up slowly, little by little and then start driving it like normal and see if you have any problems.

Be VERY careful with the MAF. They are very easy to blow. I did it once. It was an expensive lesson.
