hey guys i recently bought a 2011 tc and had a question. since i live in california im required a front license plate so the dealer put it on. and left me with 2 nice holes. well i know i can get bumper plugs, but where they actually screwed in the other 2 screws that would hold the license plate in, it left two nice rings from the screw. i know theres touch up paint for it but i dont want to deal with the hassle. i searched a ffron license plate delete kit and i got these.

they said there made for subarus, but can it be universal? u think it would fit the 2011 tc? i like that black and i think it would be a nice touch with what i want to do with the car. thanks!

in essence it should fit, i mean the holes are where all plate holes are located

Looks good! I think this would be decent on a Scion if it said SCION or something....decent find.

well ive been thinking. the plastic bracket on my 2nd gens holes are a little bit more spread far apart then those holes. so im thinking it wont fit or sit flush on my bumper. i thinki it would be great if some aftermarket company made them specifically for scions. i mean i could order one and double side tape it to the bumper, hoping it will cover up the holes.

Should this be moved to the 2nd Gen forum?

I would suggest either body putty and paint or vinyl. If you're thinking of doing the Audi blacked out bumper and grilles thing, you can just do that and not worry about the holes.
They also make plugs for the holes. I think they're actually a Honda accessory, but they work just the same.
Once the holes are there, they're not super easy to get rid of. I was lucky that the dealership didn't put a plate on the front of mine when I took delivery and so I only have two mild dimples where the paint was supposed to be pushed through.

Honestly I just dealt with the exact same problem, I got a ptuning relocator to move my license plate to my tow hook area, I used bumper plugs but they are somewhat noticeable still, better then holes.
Eventually I plan on taking it to a body shop to get the holes fixed.
I know this is a night/bad picture, but its gives you an idea.
No holes, but you can tell something used to be there.

Mine aren't that noticeable I don't think. Anything is better than holes there though.

^Which was why I decide to run with the front plate, I just got an adjustable bracket to angle the plate "JDM" style. It was either get the holes filled and bumper repainted(this is the right way) for the better cleaner look or actually put on the plate. I just decided the latter.

u have pics of it on the car? also, so i dont need to make a new thread, is there drilling involved with keytechniques bumper plugs? im going to take my car to the daler so they can fix a scratch in the window. im going to see if they can touch up the ring marks from the front license plate screws.

I'd have to go and snap pics another day to show on the car, I have the Bell Adjustable License plate holder. $10 at Autozone, the fasteners rust so I went to Home Depot and Lowes to replace them with stainless steel fasteners, and I still want to paint bracket black.
Here's an example of the bracket modified on a Subie, I know not a Scion but show all it comes with, http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?p=21429754
Another way to mount it, if you happen to run the honeycomb(05-07) lower grill, http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=460009
