avh-p5700dvd bypass?

need to find a way to watch dvds with the e-brake off. some sites said 2 just ground the wire going 2 the e-brake, and others said 2 put a switch on it, but that did not work.

the switch should work. i had that unit before and it worked fine. just make sure to have it grounded good. and put the switch in line with the ground. once you turn the unit on you turn the switch on and off and it tricks the system to thinking the parking brake is on

I had that when i drove a celica........All we did was ground the ebrake wire and it worked.......
