I would change the struts as well. Some people dont but better struts offer a better ride as well. If ur gonna lower it just to be low then you might not need to. If ur lowering it to handle better then get new struts. Hope that helps.

Its not a requirement so if you're short on cash dont worry about it, but you will have to replace them in about 20k miles or less depending on the amount of mileage already.

dont get new struts they slide right on the stock ones. Wait until they start wearin out to get the new ones. new struts wont make that much of a difference thats how i felt when i rode in a tC with s-techs and new struts i didnt even know till he told me he had them.

I just dropped mine on h-techs. as everyone else said they slide on over the stock ones. on SL there is actually a thread on how long you can go without replacing the stock struts. the average miles is around 30-35k. mainly when you start hearing noise or seeing that they are leaking oil, from what I hear. I only have 6k on my struts due to it being an 08. If you want to go with aftermarket, ive heard Koni is good.

Koni's are awesome! The only problem with them is you have to hack up your stock struts and use some pieces off them on the Konis.
