I know the intake whistles on the tC, and that's normal...never heard of a header whistling...could be the header gasket.

if theres no flexpipe, theres a leak at one of the flanges most likely. you sure the donut gasket is on there correctly?

I have a header and it doesnt whistle, but i put on all new gaskets and I had it installed by my buddies in the shop where I work so just check the donut gasket at the bottom of the header and all the nuts are tight!!! I said tight nuts...lol

Only wistling I have heard is from my moonroof. Apparently not closed all the way or something but the button doesn't let you go any further. Wonder if I can reset it? Hmmmm..

never heard of that. Only whistling i have ever heard was from the intake. The check engine light will come on no matter what unless you do a trick to the computer wit some parts on the O2 sensor. My buddy is giving me some paperwork on how to trick the computer to make it seem like its the stock header on there.

paperwork? the trick he is probably refering to is putting a antifouler on the second o2 sensor to bring the sensor outa the stream to make the computer think the original header/cat is there. ive done that trick on my car, $8 bucks or so on ebay.
