hey guys I was thinking of getting some sweet 18" rims, with getting larger rims will it actually raise the ride height of my car, or just feel the wheel wells better?
If I was to modify the ride height of the car, what is the cheapest way of doing this? I know springs are like $1200 just to purchase :/

Changing your ride height with 18's will depend on your tire size. But yes, typically, 18's will slightly raise the height of your tc but hardly much at all. You can counter-act this with those "$1200" springs.

I know your looking at 18's for a tc, but for my xb it added ride height, and didn't come anywhere near filling up the wheel well, tires are a bit wide cause they rub on full turns. Wheels are for sale btw.

18's won't raise your car if you buy the right tire size. My stock 17's with 215-45 actually made my car sit higher then my 18's with 215-35/215-40's.
Cheapest my to lower your car without heating or cutting springs would be Raceland coilovers. They have mixed reviews and most people who have never tried them are the ones who talk shit about them. But I know severe people who have them and are happy with them including me. I've had mine for over a year and have had no problems. Mine are maxed out front and back and the car rides great.
