sti exhaust on a tC?

Never seen one..that sound comes from the boxter syle motor...flat 4 u just need a wrx or sti then u have ur sound

the un-equal length headers play a huge roll.
i use to own a 05 legacy gt...it sounded nice untill i replaced the headers with equal length headers from perrin and it sounded completely like a v8 or something.

ive seen some tc's sounding like subarus on youtube videos...maybe its just the video that makes it sound like that???:blink2:

i have a greddy tic and my buddy has a wrx that had an exhaust but i forgot the name..anyways when we both had our cars running he said they almost sounded the same but his had the boxer rumble of course =p

It's all in the motor.

I owned an STI and I can tell you that 90% of that rumble comes from the unequal length headers. The acoustics make it rumble, not the engine. Any STi owner who knows anything will tell you this.
